Bettin' On The Mule now based out of Rockmart, Georgia play a fun mix of Southern Rock, Classic Rock, Country and Originals. Their unique sound personifies the phrase "Hometown Rock". This phrase perfectly describes the style and feel of the band's music and show. They love performing and their music comes from the soul. Members have been honored to have opened for National, Regional and Local acts such as The Lacs, The Georgia Thunderbolts, Michael Allman, Jeff Rogers Band, Quiet Riot, Drivin N Cryin, Humble Pie, ZBB and more.
Bettin' On The Mule members are Jacob Wilson on lead vocals, bass and rhythm guitar; Brandon Wilson on lead guitar and backing vocals; Rick Norris on drums and backing vocals. Recently, the band has welcomed seasoned musician Shannon "Beef" Wilson on bass and backing vocals.
The band has played many awesome venues all over the southeast including, The Great Locomotive Chase Festival, The Cave Spring Motorcycle Rally and Musicfest, Angel City Motorcycle Rally, The Chattahoochee Mountain Fair, The Cleburne County Fair (Alabama), Sixes Tavern, Madlife Stage & Studios and Tooney's Music Venue, just to name a few.
Bettin' On The Mule's newest EP "Tag Applied For" was recorded at the studio of Jackyl lead singer Jessie James Dupree's Cock of the Walk Studio. The CD produced and engineered by acclaimed engineer Jeff Tomei and mastered at Glenn Schick Mastering is now available on most digital platforms.
The first single from "Tag Applied For" called "Every Day and Every Night" debuted at #2 on the Georgia Songbirds top ten countdown. The countdown is played on internet indie radio stations all over the world.
Bettin' On The Mule was named the winner of the Smiley's Unique Entertainment Georgia Music Showcase in June 2022. The band has been featured in the Marietta Daily Journal, NorthWest Georgia News, Shoutout Atlanta Magazine and more.
Bettin' On The Mule was honored in 2022 by the International Singer Songwriter Association (ISSA) being nominated for Band of the Year, Album of the Year (Tag Applied For) and Single of the Year (I Think of You). They are nominated again this year for Band of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.
