Blazing Phoenix Designs creates art-inspired furniture and home accessories from salvaged, reclaimed, or rescued wood using shou sugi ban, hand-mixed wood dyes, and reclaimed steel to create a one-of-a-kind piece of functional art.
Blazing was born from our covid shutdown, multiple college, high school, and elementary school kids e-learning along with a need to recreate myself. My industry had shut down and I was desperate to find something to inspire me. Somehow I found myself out in my workshop (garage) burning wood, hand-mixing funky colors, and creating unusual pieces of functional art.
Collaboration is truly a passion of mine so working with folks directly on a Collaboration Piece is one of my favorite times. Taking their idea and my artistic vision we have created many incredible pieces!
I love the art show/festival environment and while I'm still really new at this, I've already met many folks that will remain live-time friends!
