Brad Howard, Smyrna, TN
Brad Howard’s album “Country All the Time” continues the fresh, traditional, country sound that has portrayed his musical career from the beginning. Hit songwriter Mary Francis described Brad as having an old country sound with a “new feel to it.” With each song being written by Brad, the listener can know for sure his heart is in the music. As radio host Josie Passantino wrote, “Brad’s music comes from the heart and so many listeners are able to relate to it.” Brad hails from North Wilkesboro, North Carolina which is right in the midst of the Blue Ridge Mountains. He started singing at the age of 5 in churches around the North and South Carolina area but his greatest love was listening to the country tunes of George Strait, George Jones, Don Williams, and Vern Gosdin . He joined the Air Force right after high school and was sent to Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. When he left active duty he spent some time in the Air Force Reserves and lived in the North Georgia area.
During that time he was performing shows in that area, and writing songs that would later be on his album "Country All the Time." Brad’s military service delayed his pursuit of moving to Nashville but his dream finally came true in January of 2009. Since that time Brad has recorded two studio albums that has received rave reviews from traditionalists and has been entrenched in the music scene of Nashville. He is very grateful to have had the oppurtunity to perform shows with recording artists/songwriters such as Kevin Denney, Hawkshaw Hawkins Jr., Clinton Gregory, Wesley Dennis, and Mike Siler. Brad is now doing some solo work and also performing with a band called Country Heart that he headed up in 2013. He is really enjoying the ride and hopes to play at a venue near you.
