Brenda's Painted Gourds was started May of 2009. Moving to Kentucky from Florida I decided to work from home and what better to do than something that I love which is painting. Growing my own gourds, drying them, getting them ready to be painted on and offering them to artist in the area is my calling. I have been painting for over 15 years and have used every medium out there to paint on. I have found that dried gourds are an artist open pallet. They are so much fun to work with and always useful for the local birds. As we get to the new year the plan is to expand on the business by offering classes on painting and school trips to the farm.
