Bruce Maier is a veteran professional entertainer, singer and songwriter, guitarist-musician. When he is not fronting his showband, Bruce is the publisher and founder of a popular internet magazine all about the music business, as it pertains to the Independent artists, producers and engineers, in fact the entire team. At the age of seven, Bruce's parents enrolled him into a dance academy where he studied tap, ballett and modern jazz dancing and vocal training. One of two boys in a cast of 500 young ladies, Bruce enjoyed being a leading man in Broadway excerpts such as Oklahoma, West Side Story, The King and I and more. At age fourteen Bruce became the lead singer in a rock band and gave up the tap shoes for a fog machine and loud guitars! Over the years Bruce has evolved into a versitile acoustic and electric performing artist and songwriter. Bruce's current CD, Road Of Dreams has just been released January of 2009.
When performing live with the band, Bruce plays a mix of 50's, 60's and 70's covers in his own unique soulful style. Solo though,it's like a totally different experience as Bruce takes the audience through the words and emotions of the great songwriters such as John Denver, James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, George Harrison, Bob Dylan and many more. Bruce is capable of entire shows of original music or custom tailored programs with a theme.
Married to the same lady for over thirty years, Bruce, experienced in sales and marketing, dedicates his entire professional life and time to music and the arts. Constantly honing his skills practicing and composing on the piano for at least an hour a day and being a long distance walker and as he calls himself- " healthfreak ". Bruce is in better shape and higher skillevel and vocal ability than ever in his life. He lives for the stage and to entertain people, especially families in an outdoor event or concert setting.
