Surf and Turf it up with Buzzy Frets! Bay Area stalwarts Pete Madsen, Nelson Santos, and Vinnie Fornesi play a cosmic array of classic surf, as well as many original surf, rockabilly and blues-inspired instrumentals. Their sound is at once classic and modern, inhabiting the vintage tones of drenched reverb guitar with a modern funky angle.
These seasoned veterans of he San Francisco music scene have played in dozens of bands, including See Page Two, The Barnburners, The Weeds, Papa Wheelie and the Bungee Jumping Cows (Moo-Boing!) to name a few. Buzzy Frets allows these guys to stretch their musical chops and go where no surf band has gone before.
Buzzy Frets has played shows at the Freight and Salvage (Berkeley), Lucky Horseshoe (SF), Riptide (SF), the Bistro (Hayward), the Elbow Room (SF), the Surf Spot (Pacifica), Winters Tavern (Pacifica), First Fridays (Oakland), and others venues throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
