Carl Adams, Delmont, PA
Carl Adams started his musical career as a first flutist in the USMA Band (West Point) where he served for six years. This was followed by a career that combined active performance with university music teaching. He was solo flutist on the roster of Siegel Music Management, Inc. In this role and following, he performed as guest classical soloist at major venues such as the Carnegie Recital Hall in New York, the Kennedy Center and at the Chautauqua Institution. As a jazz flutist he has performed in such cities as Atlantic City, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, N.C, Cocoa and Orlando, Florida. He has been reviewed by the New York Times as an "ingratiating, artful, elegant" flutist.
Having taken early retirement from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and major concertizing, he is available for festival engagements at reasonable and competative rates. He has done numerous festivals such as Three Rivers Arts Festival in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the Top of the Lake Art Festival in Okeechobee, Florida as well as the Cocoa Village Art and Craft Fair in Cocoa, Florida.
Adams has appeared at festivals solo with high quality digital accompaniment and with his duo, trio and quartet.
