David Stankus grew up in Piscataway, NJ. He has been playing the Trombone and Tuba since Junior High School, and attended Glassboro State College as a Music Education Major. He also earned his Master's Degree in Sacred Music from Pensacola Christian College. His experience includes Elementary & Junior High Band Director, Church Music Director, Private Instructor, Arranger and Music Theory Instructor. David has performed with a number of area performing groups, including the Raritan Valley Symphonic Band, the Monday Blues Jazz Orchestra, and the Central Jersey Symphony Orchestra. He is the owner and founder of Celebration Sounds Music Studios in Branchburg, NJ, for the past 12 years specializing in instrumental brass instruction and performing groups. David is the founding director and music arranger of the Raritan Valley Trombone Quartet.
