Hi, I'm Cherie Shelley. My journey as an artist started as a child. I come from an artistically talented family. I learned to craft, sew, knit, crochet, embroider, cook, play music and paint at a very young age. I was raised by an interior designer, so I see in vignettes, an engineer so I'm mathematical. I studied fine art and art history in College, but I was occupied in the corporate world most of my adult life. In conjunction to corporate life my private, personal and most important journey involved a spiritual path and motherhood. Two defining principals in forging the passion and mission for my art work. I have spent a lifetime finding out what was inside of me, and my connection to what is inside of us all. Now I share that connection in my work. There is a power in each painting that will resonate with the soul it was meant to connect to. Surprisingly contemporary and vibrant, diverse and to the point. Not at all what you might expect.
