CheryLynn Art came into existence in 2011 after years of on-again off-again dabbling in various artistic forms. Life sometimes throws you into a place that may not seem good just to show you a door that was open and previously unnoticed. Taking direction from an artist acquaintence, CheryLynn began pursuing a course of study and instruction to improve her techniques and break through barriers. As of 2015, her art and photos are owned by collectors in five countries. She has donated originals and prints to worthy causes such as The Cancer Society, Marine Biology Education, Environmental Protection, Saving Sealife, and Christian Outreach. Raised on the southeastern Florida coast, she learned to snorkel and dive at the age of seven. Her formative years were spent in the waters off of Florida, the Caribbean Islands, and the Florida Keys, thus the ocean and beach and the critters which live there tend to be her favorite subject matter. Travels to other areas of the US and to other countries have also inspired her work. And she occasionally adds a sense of whimsy and fantasy to her portfolio in the way of mermaids, faeries, and other beings of folklore. CheryLynn is known for her use of vibrant color in whatever she paints.
