With over 30 years experience in breeding, raising and selling pet birds I know what I want in a bird toy. A bird toy must be interesting and eye appealing, offer lots of activities, have many textures, and be safe.
My toys are handmade by myself mostly, but also with the help of my two sisters. All toy designs are created by us. All our toys are first tested on my birds. Some toys are offered to different birds a few times to see if they love the toy. This is a job they really love. Approved toy designs are then re-created in a bird & smoke free environment and offered for sale.
When I could not find bird toys that were of quality, interestesting, affordable and something I knew my birds would like, I began making bird toys for my own birds. Then, friends had me make some for them and in 2005 Chopmist Hill Bird Toys/ C & D Bird Toys was born. Since then, we have made many birds very happy! Are toys are all hung with nickel plated pearhooks which secure tight and have no edges or areas a bird can catch his beak or foot on, once properly closed. Safetuy is extremely important two me. As I mentioned, my sisters help me make a few of the bird toys, but, I reject or approve all the toys offered for sale at Chopmist Hill Bird Toys.
