Welcome to Wildwood Studios, LLC! My name is Chris Wood and I specialize in outdoor, natural light photography, special occasion shoots, family and sports photography.
I've been an artist from a young age and have always woven photography into my art. Currently, photography is one of my 3 most important art forms. In addition to photography, Oil/Acrylic painting, teaching oil/acrylic Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced painting classes and dancing are my other important art forms.
Contemplative photography and fine art painting is an art form that makes requests of both the photographer/artist and the viewer. As a contemplative artist/photographer, I must be thoughtful about what I paint and photograph, with a clear vision of the story I want to tell. Everything I include in the frame has purpose, and my image processing must be equally intentional. Viewers of contemplative fine art and photography are asked to question the image, to interpret the symbolism, to discover the meaning and to "hear" the story.
Your perspective on the world will help you see my fine art and images in a uniquely personal way. The meaning you discover may be different than I intended. The story you hear may be different than the one I'm trying to tell – and that's beautiful. The most important thing is our interaction: artist/photographer and viewer.
