In 2010, Christen released, "Just Walk Away," through E B Records, owned by veteran Nashville-based recording engineer/producer Bret Teegarden (DC Talk, Michael W. Smith, Twila Paris) who believes music should be brought back to its original purpose of creating art. Bret says that, "Christen's songs weave a tapestry of emotions and ideas into a catchy, singable work of art that appeals to all ages." Christen pushes the boundary of the “girl with a guitar” stereotype as she plays her own acoustic guitar parts live and in the studio, rubbing elbows with some of Nashville's finest musicians.
