The City of Neosho provides the venue, location, facilities for multiple events throughout the year. There are three main events developed, produced and promoted by the City of Neosho as the primary entity. These are Celebrate Neosho! which occurs on the last Saturday in June each year. This is composed of an variety of events with the headline portion being an Air Show which is capped at the end of the day with a Fireworks display. On the first Saturday in August, we are the host and producer of Big Spring Bluegrass and BBQ Festival. This event is located in our historic Big Spring Park which is located in the Historic Downtown District. Consisting of a day full of Bluegrass Bands, BBQ and great relaxing fun! The first full weekend of October brings us to the Neosho Fall Festival. Two full days of crafts, artisans, food, fun and historic demonstrations all located in the downtown square and around the Newton County Historical Museum Complex. Blacksmiths, quilters, steam driven engines powering wood shingle mills, buggy rides, inflatable kid's games and so much more. These and many more hosted and promoted by private production, Arts Council, Chamber of Commerce and the list goes on! Come see our little slice of Heaven in Southwest Missouri.
