Born in 1961 to a native American mother and German father in a small farming community in western New York., Having influence of farming, livestock, and hardworking country living, Horses, cattle and heavy equipment. These influences have carried throughout his life. At age 13, moving to south Florida to live with Native American heritage grandparents, still having horses, seem to excel in school with art and agriculture. Being noticed by teachers to possess an unusual talent for art. Some of these early pieces are still owned by family members.
As a young adult when not in school spent time riding and caring for his horses, painting and drawing. Which over the years has developed into what is today. Spending 30 years plus as a horse trainer and competitor, has had the opportunity to work with many super horses and people affiliated with horsemanship. This passion for horses shines through his equine works still today. Studying the art of riding (classical dressage) took him to a whole new level of horsemanship, and has also shined through in his art. Traveling a lot of the country, was able to be noticed by a lot of very influential people. From NY, to South Florida, Arizona, and Southern California to Jackson Wyoming… Leaving a trail of horse ****, art and laughter…
Christopher has been critiqued and mentored by a couple of renowned legends, Charlie Faust of San Diego, CA. Mr. and Mrs. Coon of the San Diego history of art museum. And while living in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, was befriended and Mentored by the late great Vivi Crandal (one of the best wildlife artists in the world). Which led to Gallery Representation… Christopher has been Represented and featured by a half dozen Galleries in the nation. Horizon fine art in Jackson Hole, WY. To the most recent in Wellington, Fla. Wellington Equestrian Art Mall. Now back on the west coast, and retiring from horses has focused on producing a whole new inventory of beautiful oil paintings. Has entered into the world of reproducing his works in signed and numbered limited editions.
