Coastal Embroidery and More was created right after Hurricane Micheal. I lost everything that day, but I needed something to pre-occupy my mind while dealing with anxiety and so forth. I was already making shirts just for fun for my teacher friends. People started asking about tumblers, so I added tumblers. Then I decided I really wanted to get back into making items (basic sewing). Finally, I added my embroidery to add to my sewing and my tumblers. YES I add embroidered items to tumblers (epoxied over to preserve). I try to align my business with American made blanks (it gets hard trying to find it).
Now you read how I got started, let me tell you who I am. My name is Michelle, and I am a mother of three (adult) kids. Two of who are in the military, and one who is a manager at a big box store. I have two beautiful grand babies (twins), a dog, two cats, and a husband. They are all equally important lol, not arranged in any special order. I am also an elementary teacher (which I love). I am a Navy Veteran. I also enjoy riding my motorcycle once the cooler weather kicks in. I love to travel, and hope to make my "crafting" a full time thing soon. (Tutor kids on the side). That about sums up who I am.
