Hi, my name is Annette and I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. During the day I work as a Business Development Coordinator for a company where we monitor driving records for companies across the country. I really enjoy what I do and the people I work with, but what I enjoy the most is knowing we just might be able to keep another drunk driver off the road.
After hours, I make barrettes, earrings and pendants out of colored pencils. Who would of thought that colored pencils could be used as jewelry.
All items are handmade by me and I have the fingernails, or the lack thereof, to prove it. I enjoy working with my hands and particularly working with colored pencils. I love all the colors available and the color combinations. I never know exactly what each piece will look like when I start working. That’s what makes this whole process so much fun. It’s always a surprise. The funny thing is, I have tons of pencils in my studio, yet I have nothing to write with.
My items are also available at Made in New Mexico in Taos, New Mexico and will be available starting September 1st at The Wooden Cow Gallery in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
