My name is Kimberly Wood, and I grew up in Marlborough, CT. I have always been artist, but I had no education behind me. I went to college and graduated with two associate's degrees. In the end I started a couple of art classes and fell in love with art. I am a sculptor and a metal smith working mostly in copper. I am mostly known for my copper trees and other sea creature sculptures. I have shown work in the Wilma W. Daniels Gallery in 2013, 2014, and 2016. I have shown artwork the the Cameron Arts Museum 2014. I have also shown work in the Eclipse Gallery. I have newly gotten into collages and just shown my first and second collages at the Leland Cultural Arts Center. I am a very progressive artist. I constantly have a couple of artworks that I am working on. I am a humble happy 55 year old artist with cancer trying to get my art out there. What a great way to not think about my situation, and create smiles for art!
