In 2009 I purchased my first group of chickens , they have since come to be known as "the girls". In 2011, my husband and I went to Shipshewana, where I saw a gentleman who carved Emu and Ostrich eggs. His work was so amazing that it kept going through my mind. In the fall of 2012, I thought I would satisfy my need to "create something" by attempting to carve eggs, finding emu and ostrich eggs too expensive to learn on, I began with the eggs in my own back yard.
Obviously, I figured it out, and continue to grow.
