“Cumberland Arts Goes to Market,” an annual August arts and crafts festival held on the far-east side of Indianapolis. Festival organizer, Cumberland Arts, Inc., announced today that the event name will change this year. The festival will now become known as “Cumberland Arts Festival.” “As we enter the 10th anniversary of this remarkable festival we are excited to update our name to more accurately reflect and describe the event,” said Sarah Bowers, Event Chair.
Cumberland Arts Festival is a wonderful community event that incorporates all forms of Art including; music, fine arts, dance. It offers a wide range of unique hand-crafted items for purchase like jewelry, woodwork, pottery and more. Three main elements, however, will remain the same as in previous years: the location, Saturn Street in Cumberland, Indiana; the date, third Saturday in August; and our long partnership with the Cumberland Farmers Market.
Cumberland Arts Festival also includes an amazing silent auction, Silly Safaris popular live animal show, and food trucks. Admission and parking are free with close accessible handicap parking next to the Cumberland Town Hall and general parking nearby in the east Meijer parking lot. With easy walking to the festival activities, shops and booths to enjoy, the festival is a popular family fun event!
