BIOGRAPHY
DSM4 formed from the ashes of a previous band in 2008 when Steve Ontiveros, Mike Gash, and Jay Ashton had branched out into a side project calling it DSM4. With the main band breaking up the trio decided to continue on playing acoustic gigs. The project progressed so well that the dancing crowds needed a beat to get the party going. After going through a few drummers and with the departure of Jay, the band brought on Mark Cappo to fill the drummer spot in 2011. The band continued as a 3 piece playing around the Northern Virginia area. When Trevor Ontiveros was old enough he joined the band and they became a 4 piece in 2012. Steve and Trevor are the father-son guitar/vocal duo for the band. Late in 2013 Jay rejoined the band and DSM4 became a 5 piece. With the departure of Mike Gash in January 2015 the search for a new Bass player brought Keith Veler into the band.
DSM4 is currently working on originals as well as expanding their list of cover songs from the 90s and newer with some 80s sprinkled in for nostalgia.
