Hi I am a face and body artist which means I do face painting, Henna temporary tattoos, glitter temporary tattoos, airbrush temporary tattoos, and body painting. Most the time for festivals I do the first floor although on occasion I have done some body painting. I've been painting since late 2003 and started doing festivals just a few years later. I have attended many conventions and classes for face and body art including Face And Body Art International Convention (FABAIC) in Florida, Face Paint and Body Art (FPBA) Convention in both Las Vegas and St. Louis, Bodyssey Convention in Banff, Canada, Henna Con in California, Polar Sling Conference in Minnesota, Henna Gathering Conference in Connecticut and individual classes with the finest artists from around the world including Nick and Brian Wolfe, Mark Reid, Alex Hansen, Wiser Oner, Nix Herrera, Dutch Bihary, Matteo Arfanotti, Victoria Welch, Kim Brennan, Leah Baker Reddell, Deborah Brommer, Darci Vasudev, Nick Tharpa Cartier, Neeta Sharma, and many others. These conventions and conferences allow me to learn the newest designs and techniques to bring the best face painting or henna artistry to the event.
Some of the festivals I have done include the New Mexico State Fair , Southern New Mexico State fair and Rodeo, Otero County fair, Doña Ana Arts Council Renaissance fair, Yuma Renaissance fair, Lake Havasu Renaissance fair, Medieval Mayham Renaissance fair, Santa Fe Renaissance fair, Las Cruces Wine festival Santa Fe Wine festival, Harvest Wine festival, & The Rio Grande Valley Celtic festival.
My other education is in music, I have both Bachelors of Music Education and Bachelors of Music Performance from University of New Mexico and a Masters of Music in Clarinet performance and woodwinds from Michigan State University. I spent many years teaching private lessons, teaching band and guitar at private and Lutheran schools, and teaching at Hummingbird Music Camp in the Jemez Mountains in New Mexico.
