A native of Williamsburg, Virginia I attended the East Carolina Leo Jenkins School or Art and graduated from Christopher Newport University with a BSBA in Marketing. I worked for the Colonial WIlliamsburg Foundation for 12 years (in costume) and then was in the group tour sales business for hotels. Currently I am a a selfemployed artist, married for 26 years and raising a 12 year old boy. Although I love Virginia, I also enjoy travel and good food.
Lately I have been developing a unique "green" art form. Finding wheelcovers and hubcaps on the side of the road (you see them everywhere), I clean them up, decide what the shape suggests and paint with acrylics. Designs include sun faces, flowers, stars and hex signs..
They really look great! Several are in private collections, one usually hangs outside of my front door and all are suitable for inside or out. They look lovely on a deck wall, garden shed shed or front porch. They are a terrific Green gift for anyone at the same time cleaning up the roadways!
