I’m a blues singer. Storybook beginning; started singing young, had a couple of regional hits, eloped w/the man of my dreams, had 2 beautiful girls w/him. Dream turned into a nightmare of physical & emotional abuse, alcoholism and using my girls as weapons against me. Started independent study classes while touring and getting the opportunity to meet some legends in blues like John T. Hooker, R.L. Burnside, T-Model Ford, ZZ Top, Buddy Guy and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Released a couple of CDs, earned a couple of degrees & then grabbed my girls & ran like hell, never looking back. Kept singing. Kept writing. The girls grew into bright, beautiful, strong young women. We survived. I write the blues, I sing the blues, I've lived the blues. I’m a blues singer.
