Doug Tostenson is a Seattle-based photographer whose artistic interests began with a passion for black and white film. Having studied darkroom technique for several years, Tostenson continues to explore different methods and approaches to each body of work he creates. Whether his subject is a coastal landscape or a cityscape, printed in a traditional darkroom or digitally composed or a combination of both, Tostenson’s images always bear his signature high-contrast, painterly, otherworldly style.
