I make wooded boxes of a variety of shapes that have lids with intarsia (wood mosaic) designs. The boxes may be in the shape of the intarsia image (i.e. bird, butterfly, fish) or an oval, rectangle or other shape with some specific design. The intarsia lids are formed with many different native and exotic woods with color and grain selected to feature the portrayed image. The natural colors of the wood are enhances with multiple coats of UV resistant acrylic. The boxes may be used for keepsakes, jewelry, etc. or simply displayed to feature the intarsia art work.
