This company is a one woman show. My name is Wendy Nelson. My specialty is machine embroidery.
How did I get here.... It started when my children were young and I made their clothing. After that as I worked full time and went college while having my children, I was doing crocheting, cross stitching, and macrame. After a while, life got to crazy and I really didn't have much time to be creative.
I ran warehouses for a living and loved what I did. Working with numbers, I was usually responsible for inventory. However, after 25 years of warehousing, my body said I was done and I had to accept being on disability. Still keep trying to be allowed to go back to work, with no luck.
With plenty of time on my hands, I decided to try to quilt. I made several quilts, but I wasn't very good at it. I bought a Bernina sewing machine with machine embroidery and my world came to life. I make things that I would never have thought possible. I purchase or create designs and apply them to many different media.
I decided it would be something I would love to share with others. So I created Dress Up Your Table. It's been open for over a year, but have so many challenges keeping it up to date, so I'm trying to show my items in person.
