If you enjoy bicycling, then you will definitely want to ride the “Great River Trail”... 62.5 miles of scenic trail (mostly paved) along the Great River Road and the mighty Mississippi River. It runs from Savanna to Rock Island, Illinois, and even features an alternate route in Fulton, along the Fulton riverfront past the windmill, marina and historic downtown Fulton shopping area. Trivia: The Mississippi River at Fulton has the distinction of having one of the narrowest and the widest points of the entire river.
