Member Since: March 25, 2013

At an early age I learned to never take anything for granted.  At birth I was diagnosed with a serious lung disease, which meant many childhood days of confinement to a hospital room in Tamaulipas, Mexico.  During this time my parents introduced me to the world of creative art, which provided me with a great strength and solace.  From crayons and coloring books to painting on canvas, I realized I possessed a natural talent for artistic expression, a passion that continues to grow in me.

From the beginning, it has been a journey for me to get to a place where I can feel confident in my work As a self taught artist I have gained the ability to learn from my mistakes, and use them to discover new techniques. The value in my struggle is the final composition of my artwork.

In my short but fruitful career, I have been honored with opportunities to show my work around the State as well as the nation. My work has been shown in international art fairs such as Art Chicago 2011 and The 2012 Los Angeles Art Show. I have also been represented in a Gallery in New Orleans and am presently exhibited in Museum Works Galleries in Chicago, IL. I also continue to be very involved in the Houston art community by showing in my studio space as well as hosting various events and philanthropic benefits.
