The 25th Edmonton International Film Festival takes place September 23 to October 1, 2011.
Over 9 days, and nights, EIFF presents 150 independent films, hosts 50 visiting directors, producers, actors… and feeds a cinema-loving audience of 15,000.
Our purpose is to present an event that showcases the best, newly-produced, independent cinema from around the world – including local films – to Edmontonians in a ‘big theatre’ environment. Additionally, our vision is to help nurture Edmonton’s indigenous filmmaking community by bringing in as many filmmaker guests as possible. We also program Q&A’s and after-parties designed to encourage the exchange of ideas and creative techniques among guest filmmakers, audiences, and Edmonton’s own film community.
