Elle was born in New Castle, Indiana, earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree with Departmental Honors in Art from Hanover College and her Masters of Art from Ball State University with Post Masters studies in Art Education. She has also studied under Charles Hernden at the Columbus School of Art and Design, Columbus, Ohio and completed Museum Management graduate study at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
Her career has included owning and operating Madison's first art gallery, art school and custom framing business. She has taught in private and public school systems and at Hanover College. She also was president of the Madison Art Club during the 1980's and was responsible for establishing the Ohio Valley "One of a Kind" Regional Juried Spring Exhibition and the founding of the first art gallery sponsored by the Madison Art Club. She served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for that gallery for five consecutive years.
Elle's work may be viewed at the Madison Art Club Gallery at 301 E Main, Madison, at Hanover College and at her studio at 509 Broadway St. Madison, IN. She specializes in paintings in oil and watercolor, drawings in colored pencils, and serigraphs of people, pets, places and paraphernalia (objects describing an individual's personality and life).
