I started laser engraving about a year ago. I had just had my second child and became a stay-at-home mom. My fiancé had the idea and bought me my first machine. At first my only work coming in was from customers he had requesting pieces. I began to really enjoy making different things, but I was still limited in the abilities of the machine. After about 6 months, I started working on a website. I got a small loan from his boss who was impressed with what I could do, and I bought a new machine. I chose a machine that was more than just a laser engraver so I could expand my product base. Now I can create so many things. I can laser engrave wood, glass and certain metals. I can print on wood, paper and vinyl. With the cutting tool attachments, I can cut cardstock, cardboard, leather and vinyl. I'm still exploring the possibilities with my machine, but I want to keep with customizing my work. My wood products have a base element to them to easily reproduce but are still customizable. I can do vinyl stickers and decals for cars or tumblers and mugs and are made to order.
