Famous Old Time Music Company is home to the driving bluegrass band, Vernon McIntyre's Appalachian Grass.
As leader of the band, Vernon has been entertaining bluegrass fans for over 50 years. His entertaining MC work complements his extensive repertoire of traditional bluegrass favorites and original material. Vernon's lead vocals are delivered in his own delightful, inimitable style and his rhythm guitar work is the backbone of the band's driving sound.
A master banjo player in his own right, Vernon demands the best from any banjo player in his band. Robert Campbell has been with the band for 20 years and delivers a driving performance that lives up to Vernon's expectations.
Having played with the best of the best bluegrass musicians during his career, Vernon also expects and receives dynamic performances from fiddler, Kitty McIntyre. Kitty can deliver fiddling ranging from lighting fast instrumentals to sweet, sad ballads.
Bassist Tammy Powers and mandolinist Susan Shook round out the Appalachian Grass sound with a driving rhythm section and each periodically deliver an entertaining novelty song.
