PorkChop and the Fellas| Contemporary Gospel Quartet Group
Pork chop and the Fellas a young group with a peculiar name and a distinction from the rest. This young group from Lancaster South Carolina, started in January of 2015 with the heart to not only sing, but to minister to the people was the burning desire of their lead singer Pork Chop (Devarius Hughes) along with the guys known as “The Fellas” (Philip Baker, Lewis Wilson, Michael Hawthorne, Jeffery Minor, and Steve” Shakey” Little).
Pork chop and the Fellas were nominated in four categories at the Annual Indie Awards and walked away with Male Quartet of the Year (Traditional) and Hottest New Upcoming Quartet (Contemporary & Traditional).
This young group has traveled the East and West coast, appearing on major venues and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in form of song. One of their songs on the very First CD was the Morning Inspiration for the “Steve Harvey Morning Radio Show” as Steve said the song” Everybody needs Love” was an inspiration for everyone to hear before they get their day started. In April of this year, the group has released a new single” I feel alright and God Thank You” and these two singles has reached listeners in varies countries like Brazil, Poland, South Africa, Eastern Europe, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom just to mention a few and the singles is doing very well here in the States such as Memphis, TN, Washington, DC, Kansas City, MO and Humble and Dallas, TX.
The members of Pork Chop and the Fellas hung around some of the legendary quartet groups who've paved the way for this group to perform today, but they always remember to Give God ALL THE GLORY for the things He is doing in their ministry. The wisdom obtained from the pioneers of gospel has caused creativity to emerge from the lead singer Pork Chop as he writes a story of life, the story then becomes lyrics that takes on a melody and becomes HIS(Jesus) song. They use as an expression that everyone wants to be known in history, but Pork Chop and The Fellas mission is to tell HIS Story.
