I am a self-taught fabric artist, using various types of materials (mixed-media) to create beautiful things. Quilts and purses are easy sellers, but my passion is to create landscape wall hangings. I hand-dye my own fabrics; draw with acrylic and fabric paint, pencil, fabric markers and watercolor; embroider by hand and machine; use beads and jewelry-making techniques; and incorporate metal, specifically copper when possible. I simply LOVE embellishments -- the more the merrier!
After 2 years of learning techniques and experimenting, I've amassed quite a portfolio of work. Now I would like to sell some of it to share the pleasure and beauty of my work with others, plus I only use premium products so it would be nice to recoup some of my investment. I do my art for myself -- it's my form of therapy. Each piece is original and custom; some of my pieces have been commissioned and hang in local professional offices. People seem to really like my art so I'm taking a shot at selling.
