Fort Wayne Germanfest is one of the best celebrations of German culture and heritage in the country! For five full days, Germanfest takes over Headwaters Park in Fort Wayne, IN with authentic German food, beer, entertainment, games, and more!
This is a can't-miss festival each summer and features unique and memorable games and entertainment, such as Polka Like a Star, Legs n' Liederhosen, Masskrugstemmen, kids' Root Beer Races, Hammerschlagen, and many more.
Familienfest is the family-focused day of the festival on Saturday, June 10. Entry to Familienfest and participation in all games and events are FREE! The first 1,000 families receive welcome packs with goodies from sponsors and vendors, and all attendees can enjoy over a dozen games and activities, visits from the famous mascots of local teams, local entertainment, and even watch the Wienerdog National Races! (That's right, we have Wienerdog races!!)
