I have been a fused glass artist since 2012. My work can be seen anytime at Northland Exposure Art Gallery in Parkville, Missouri.
I have always loved art of all kinds. Once my children were older, I was fortunate enough to be able to indulge my creative side and take some classes at our local community college. I started with a drawing class and then went on to take several pottery classes. Then I began working with stained glass.
When we moved to Kansas City in 2011, I decided to try something new. I found a glass studio with classes that caught my interest and great instructors. After my first fused glass class I was hooked! I began fusing glass in my own studio in 2012.
I love the beautiful colors of the glass, the textures I can achieve at different temperatures in the kiln, and the beautiful and useful things that come from glass and heat. I use copper, aluminum, brass and different materials as inclusions in some of my pieces. I enjoy experimenting, taking classes and learning new techniques.
