WHO / WHAT ARE GREMLINS?
The 'Gremlins' art project is created by Alex Earley. The first gremlin in this collection was painted in 2015. Each Gremlin has a name, a haiku and a painting. They are all painted with mixture of acrylic and high gloss medium. Most canvases and frames used in this collection are from thrift stores. Inspired by Roald Dahl's book called Gremlins (1964). In the book, Gremlins are creatures that helped the Royal Air Force take down fascists (once they were fed some postage stamps).
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Alex has a passion for art, video game development and music. When he is not painting, he is working on his next video game or organizing a game jam. Alex lives in Old Orchard Beach, Maine with his wife Charlotte and his two cats.
