Nora Solomon was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1951.
When she was 12 years old she came to the United States to start a new life.
As a child she enjoyed anything that had to do with arts and crafts.
Always intrigued by the art of stained glass, when the Community
Center back in the late 1980's offered a class, she took it and has been joyfully working with glass since.
Although she sometimes creates the more traditional stained glass art, her preferred method is to do whatever comes to her mind.
Old and new jewelry, stone, shells, beads, or whatever suits the piece that's being created gets incorporated into it
In the late 1990's she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
This did not stop her from achieving other goals that she had, which were a black belt in martial arts, awarded in 2007 and a figure competition in which she won second place in 2015.
It was hard work but something she always wanted to do.
She claims to always having to fight the MonSter(MS) within.
Although she enjoys the challenge of practicing martial arts and working out, when in her workshop, it's like being in another world and getting lost in the creativity.
