I was featured in the Voyage Denver magazine. I have always considered myself to be “crafty”. Even in high school I loved to make things. Going to craft fairs to see what others make and thinking to myself, “I can make that” I worked as hairdresser for 23 years and owed my own salon for 7. I currently still have my license but only do hair for my family now. I got to practice my creativity being in that profession. After my children grew up and out of the house, I got into creating different things and not just hair. In 2017, I started by doing some paint pouring in my garage. Since I live in Colorado, I had to move it into my home. I have changed the location of my craft room 3 times moving into bigger rooms. It is now located in a spare bedroom. which is busting at the seams again. In 2019, I wanted to try my hand at making a tumbler. I saw so many people make them but wasn't excited about using epoxy. I have since found a love for using it. I started making many different styles of tumblers and mugs and I enjoy making special and personalized gifts. It helped my mental health and gave me happiness. I was going through a rough time with my children as they all went down a path of addiction. Crafting gave me peace of mind, was something I could control, and just be in a happy space creating beautiful things. My children have all started new lives and are in recovery from their addictions. I so enjoyed crafting that I didn't stop and added more to my plate. I now, not only make cups, I added a shirt and hat press. I make freshies which are car fresheners that can be put in any room to make it smell good. I have added a 3d printer to my crafting game and enjoy making tons of those items. I have made custom handles for tumblers using it. I have started making signs for doors or to hang on the wall. I am going to be hosting a door sign class at the end of May or the beginning of June in my hometown. I am in the process of getting a laser/engraver to be able to customize more items for my customers. I have recently started adding resin art into the mix of things. I'm still working on perfecting this as epoxy/resin is very finicky. I love a challenge so, if someone asks me to make them something that I have never tried before, I dive right in. The smile and sometimes tears of joy that my customers have when they receive what I have made for them makes my heart so very happy.
