My artist’s journey has been a long road. I started out in high school taking art classes: Drawing and Painting, and Senior studio. That’s when I learned about abstract art.

“Abstract art, nonfigurative art, nonobjective art, and nonrepresentational art are loosely related terms. They are similar, although perhaps not of identical meaning”, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abstract_art).  I learned about figures, lines, imagery, and the relationship they have with each other. My teacher showed me artists, like Cy Twombely and Jackson Pollack. That was when I actually thought I could be an artist.

The name Gomadearts is derived from my Thai name Gomade. I picked the name because it gives my family background. I don’t have a particular medium I tend to focus on. It’s impossible for any artist, to make the same duplicate piece twice.

The feeling of making art gives me the feeling of opening up my imagination and putting it on canvas. Also, I love playing with the space and shapes I put on a blank canvas and in some way, I can make them relate to each other. It also gives me a sense of relaxation when I am creating art.
