Gravy Flavored Kisses was formed in early 2010 by songwriter Jared Castellaw and good friend and bassist Damon Motto. Along with various drummers, the band performed a variety of gigs as a trio in New Orleans during the first part of 2010 and was well received. Looking to expand and desiring a fatter, ballsier sound, the trio enlisted the talents of Curtis Laub on trombone and jazz trumpeter Rick Roff. With the addition of vocalist Nasimiyu Murumba as a powerfully soulful contrast to Castellaw's raw grit, as well as Adam Baumol as their permanent drummer, the band was ready to bring their tasty combination of dirty blues and rock to the world
