New Age/Contemporary Instrumental Music duo featuring flutes, classical and synthesized guitars, percussion and vocals featuring Kim Robson and Russell Ferrara.

Gray Dog Down creates and performs acoustic flute and guitar pieces as well as pieces which employ expansive sounds emanating from Ferrara's guitar synths and Robson's experimentation with flute sounds. Their programs, recorded and live, reflect a diversity of mood, by turn lively, mellow and meditative, often linked to local places, people and even the animal friends in their lives. All of their concert music is performed live without backing tracks or computer assist. Their first, self titled album is a mirror of that stage show with no layered tracks.

Kim Robson has a dual career as vocalist and flutist. Her thirty plus musical theater and operatic roles have included Sarah in Out of the Rain (world premier with Opera Delaware), Gianetta in L'Elisir d'Amore (Concert Opera of Philadelphia, and Forsythia/Mrs. Thornbush in American Family Theatre's national tour of Beauty and the Beast. She directs the music program at University of the Sciences, and also conducts the choir, chamber choir, wind ensembles and jazz band.

Russell Ferrara is a crossover artist working in the classical and New Age fields. He toured with the Philadelphia
Guitar Ensemble (PGE), Shadowdancer, Candace Keach (Principal Flute of the Macon Symphony), and Lackawanna Sky. He made albums with PGE and Shadowdancer and appears on the soundtrack of the avant garde opera Revelation in the Courthouse Park (Harry Partch) and Philly Jazzer Lynn Riley's album Too Cool. Ferrara directs the guitar ensemble at University of the Sciences.
