I live on 20 wild acres in Maine with my husband and my three Weimaraner dogs, Zach, Grimm and Simon. They are the inspiration behind my shop name and logo. We have an abundance of dragonflies in our gardens, and on any given day one of them can be found perched on the tip of one of the Weim's tails! One of these days I'll remember to take a camera out with me and snap a picture.
I enjoy creating beautiful homemade cold process soaps with luxurious scents and skin nourishing oils and butters. I make my soap in small batches in my home using only those ingredients that I want on my own skin. My soaps are formulated to be gentle for all skin types. I also make unscented soaps with the same high quality and luxury oils and butters, for those with sensitivities to scents.
The oils and butters I use are organic where possible. I do use palm oil (when listed) that comes from Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) members. I only use natural colorants like clays, mineral pigments and micas, and oil infused plant powders. The scents are either essential oils, fragrance oils or a mixture of both. All fragrance oils are specially formulated for use in soaps and have been approved for cosmetic use. The goat's milk and coconut milk used are also organic.
