Boogie, Blues and Brews, Family Friendly Music Festival Returns for A Second Year

The City of League City through Gulf Coast Public Affairs - Major Events, is proud to announce the return of League City's own family-friendly music festival. The 2nd annual festival is scheduled to take over Houston's Bay Area September 20, 21 and 22, 2013. For three consecutive days, Boogie Blues and Brews will bring together the best of blues, country, zydeco and rockabillly from all over the region to Walter Hall Park.

Headliners taking the stage will include Mambo Jazz Kings on Friday evening starting at 7:30pm with Wayne Toups following as a closing act at 9:30pm Friday. Eric Gales Band will be featured at 5:45pm Saturday afternoon with Hamilton Loomis featured at 7:30pm Saturday afternoon with Cowboy Mouth closing it down on Saturday evening at 9:30pm. On Sunday we will be closing it down with Cody Canada & the Departed hit the stage at 6:30pm. These are just the headliners so come prepared to enjoys some great music.

Beyond the diverse lineup of some of the South's best talent, attendees will be able to enjoy specialty food trucks, an assortment of beers from the Draft Beer Garden, a variety of art and crafts, a sweet tea competition between the natives and a Chili Cook-Off, all in true Texan style. Located within the picturesque 86-acre park will be two stages for BBB's anticipated acts and an interactive Kid's Zone featuring rides and exhilarating children's activities to keep their spirits high.

Also new to this year's BBB will be a Sunday tailgating event. Festival-goers can cheer the hometown team onto victory in the designated "Man Cave."

Boogie, Blues and Brews boasted more than 13,000 participants from all over the state with an expectation of attendance surpassing last year's event. Fans are encouraged to purchase Early Bird tickets for the entire weekend at only $20. Individual day and VIP passes are also available at event website. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to local non-profit organizations serving the League City and Galveston County Area.
