Handmade by Heidi Sue, San Angelo, TX
Hi Y'all! My name is Heidi Sue Bloebaum. Here's me in a nutshell: a former elementary teacher turned jewelry designer, crafter, and self-taught photographer!! I'm the owner of Handmade by Heidi Sue AND HSB Photo Designs.
At Handmade by Heidi Sue my products are handmade works of "heart"!! When visiting my online store or my booth at a craft show, you will find my original handmade jewelry designs, which are made using mainly vintage glass, wooden, and acrylic beads. About 75% of the beads used in my designs are from vintage jewelry pieces I find at estate & garage sales. I use the repurposed beads to create original jewelry pieces for the current generations to enjoy!! By using upcycled materials in my handmade pieces, I feel I'm doing my part to help the planet! In addition to designing jewelry, I also create handmade hair accessories for girls of ALL ages. Hairbows and headbands are two of my specialties! Other handmade crafts you will find include I create wreaths for ALL seasons handpainted/hand distressed, wooden crosses!! Custom orders ARE available! However, please allow two weeks for customized orders to be made and sent. As my company's name implies, ALL of my products are HAND MADE by ME, Heidi Sue!!
As I mentioned above, I'm also the owner of HSB Photo Designs. HSB Photo Designs is the company name under which I display and sell my original photography and photo art!! I'm a self-taught photographer. I specialize in nature, pet, and landscape photography. I do take portraits as well. However, my portrait work is typically done out of studio. Why? I do not have my own studio. Therefore, portraits are done at a location chosen collaboratively by me AND the person(s) being photographed (photographees)! Selection of shoot location is based on the wants and needs of photographees. As far as portrait photography goes, pet portraits are my specialty!!
About Me:
I was born, raised, & currently live in the West Central Texas town of San Angelo. I'm a former elementary educator. All 10+ years of my tenure as an educator was in the San Angelo Independent School District. I'm proud to once have referred to myself as a Bonham Rattler and a San Jacinto Warrior!! At Bonham Elementary, I was a certified teacher hired as an instructional aide in Kindergarten. 2+ years later, I was hired to teach at San Jacinto Elementary. During my almost 9 years there, I was a k-2 float teacher, first grade classroom teacher, and most recently a small group/one-to-one k-2 reading and math teacher. Health reasons caused me to resign from education in 2009. I LOVED educating and molding young minds, but it was DEFINITELY time for me to bid the education profession adieu!! Since then, I've decided to turn my hobbies into a business. I love making things for other people as well as capture the beauty of the world around me with my camera. In other words, even though it IS technically work, I LOVE this because I'm doing things I love. Therefore, it does NOT feel like work!! :)
My store will be up soon! Please check back for great gift ideas for the upcoming holiday season!!!
