Our Story...
Yes, we do a good many cover tunes from the '80s -- but we are also "above that" (from the '60s through contemporary ). We are "not just another cover band" -- we are now recording and finishing 14 originals in the "progressive rock" genre. We're also "above that" by bringing modern technology into old school grooves. It's a wild ride when High Above 80 is on stage. We offer choices to entertainment buyers -- pick a package from us! “Yesterday & Today” (a “best of” mix), a full-on “100% 80's” show, a “6 Pack of Tributes” (to some of the best-known bands of all time), and more. With the 80's show, it's not all about “Headbanger's Ball” -- we hit pockets from American Bandstand & Solid Gold, along with “Daytime MTV” too -- Madonna, Janet Jackson, REO Speedwagon, Journey, etc. -- and yes, we can throw in some Poison if we need it. We have music videos complete, and others in production. We have originals. There's no rut to get stuck in with this group. With modern DMX lighting AND items from the old school concert stage, it does "look 80's" -- but not always. But when the lights come on, the temperatures rise! With well over 200 songs on our master list, you can pick what fits your patrons best. And it's always going to be different, and entertaining.
