Well, after a great deal of effort to correct my geographic coordinates and escape the communists and after a very successful architectural career in New York City, I finally made it to my dream land-Texas. I love it here. My husband Jim and I can finally play in the Sun and I can do all the things I always wanted to. I play golf and give beginners lessons for my pleasure. I do a lot of gardening. I am working on a book, care for my adorable little cats while still doing some administrative work for my husband's web design company and helping our The Friends of the Library with their electronic needs.
I've always made things. Of course I made “big” things for a living as an architect, but throughout my life my purpose to exist was to “make” things: I cook from scratch, make cloths for myself and family, cut hair, do manicures, grow plants from seeds and cuttings. Occasionally I paint, I made a carrara marble sculpture of my dog Ingo and I even made my own reading glasses out of spare parts.
