Independence Hall Quilters is a non-profit organization that promotes quilting as an art form. Our members have opportunity to take professional classes, learn basics from experienced members, and have a friendly, non-competitive social interaction. Our Guild also donates quilts, sewn items and cash to support local community services.
Our annual Quilt Faire takes place at the Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys CA. We set up our Quilt Show in the spacious Music Room, where you can also watch members demonstrate a variety of sewing/quilting skills. Our Scholarship Quilt is also on display, and raffle tickets will be sold until 3:45pm Sunday, Oct. 21st. The drawing is at 4:00pm (need not be present to win)
Our event also includes vendors (craft & non-crafts), a "Boutique" full of quality handcrafted items, a "Country Store" where you can purchase lovely dishware decorated with sweets and munchies.
Ballots are provided inside our show program that you receive upon entry to the Faire. We ask that all guests vote for their favorite in each category. We do not have a professional judge, but entries are awarded "Viewer's Choice" ribbons according to your vote! There are no monetary prizes, so guest kudos are very important to the entrants.
