Jack's images always strive to present a small story - a photograph you can “enter,” look around and feel at home – caught up in the moment as you would in a good book by a favorite author.
In addition to good “storytelling photos” Jack has a series of 4" x 6" (print or matted) captioned photos he calls "Thoreauisms.” These are scenes from Nature accompanied by thoughts and quotes from outdoors people, Naturalists, Ecologists and other Nature lovers from the past. Again, this is intended to provoke a thought in the viewer.
Another feature is Jack's "Nature's Children" - a Storytelling Game to interest children in interacting with parents, grandparents and fellow students about the wonders of Nature and the outdoors once again, and away from texting, social media and smart phones for just a bit. This would also be helpful for adults with learning and communication difficulties.
